The gold promise
100% Buyback on Eligible Declared 24K Pure-Gold Content*
One promise, measured against one number. Everything below explains how that number is arrived at — before you ever need it.
*Subject to applicable terms, eligibility and recoverable weight.
What we commit to
- Measured against eligible declared 24K pure-gold content, and nothing else.
- Valued at the applicable 24K gold rate on the day of the buyback.
- Assessed at a Swarnishq store or an authorised location, with you present.
- Settled to your registered bank account once you accept the assessment.
What is eligible?
One of these three is gold. The promise applies to that one.
- Eligible
Declared 24K pure-gold content
Fully eligible. This is the figure on your Truth Tag and invoice, and the only one the promise is measured against.
- Not eligible
Other / alloy weight
Not gold, and therefore not eligible. It is declared so you know what is in the piece — not because it carries gold value.
- Not eligible
Gross weight
Never treated as gold. Gross weight is the whole piece on a scale; it says nothing about how much of it is gold.
Always refer to the Truth Tag and invoice for the exact details of your piece.
How buyback value is determined
Eligible declared 24K gold weight
Per your Truth Tag & invoice
Established after a wear-and-tear assessment of the piece. Nothing is subtracted for alloy — declared 24K gold never included it.
Applicable 24K gold rate
On the day of the buyback
Not the rate on the day you bought the piece, and not the reference rate used in any price breakup.
Buyback value
Paid at 100%
Settled to your registered bank account once you accept the assessed value.
Eligible declared 24K gold weight (post wear & tear assessment) × applicable 24K gold rate on the day = buyback value, paid at 100%.
Never valued
Other / alloy weight and gross weight are never valued. They are declared so you know what you have — not because they carry gold value.
*Subject to applicable terms, eligibility and recoverable weight.
Important: outside melt & partial condition
Talk to us before anything irreversible happens to a piece.
Complete piece, original form
Assessed in the ordinary way. The eligible declared 24K gold weight is established after a wear-and-tear assessment, and valued at the applicable rate on the day.
Broken or partial piece
Still assessable. The recoverable declared 24K gold weight is what determines the value, and the condition of the piece affects that assessment.
Melted or assessed elsewhere
Cannot be accepted. Once a piece has been melted, refined or altered outside our process it can no longer be identified against its Truth Tag and invoice.
If someone has offered to melt or “test” your piece outside a Swarnishq store, stop and call us first. It costs nothing to ask, and it cannot be undone afterwards.
How the buyback process works
Six steps, and you know where you are at every one of them.
